Skoda Kushaq SUV Booking Open on June 28th,2021 - Launch & Price Details
We finally have a date when the Skoda Kushaq would hit the showrooms in India. Yes, the Skoda Kushaq SUV will launch on the 28th of this month. June 28th is when the price of the Kushaq will be announced. As we have mentioned earlier the Kushaq is based on the MQB A0 IN platform and will have high localization levels which would be reflected in the aggressive pricing. The Kushaq range will start with the 1.0 TSI petrol, which will come with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter. It would be forming the entry level of the Kushaq range in India and we expect the Kushaq 1.0 TSI manual to be priced at around Rs 10 lakh. The other engine in the Kushaq range is the 1.5 TSI which will also be offered with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG. That would be the flagship variant and that would be expected to be priced at Rs 16 lakh ex-showroom for the DSG. That means it would be expected to undercut the Creta and Seltos DCT variants on the pricing bit. The Kushaq would be offered in three trims- Active, Ambition and Style.
The feature list is fairly impressive with a sunroof, 10-inch touch screen, connected car technology, tyre pressure monitoring system, 6 airbags and so on. That said it will not have digital dials unlike the Volkswagen Taigun which would be launching later. Kushaq is just above 4m and will target the segment of crossover SUVs between Rs 10-15 lakhs. The Kushaq will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and to some extent even the Sonet while its own sibling the Volkswagen Taigun would also be a rival.
